The Highfield Hotel, Keswick
The Highfield Hotel, a boutique hotel in the heart of Keswick, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented cleaner to join our team. You'll play a key part in making sure every room and communal space is clean, comfortable, and welcoming for our guests. Whether you've got experience or are keen to learn, a strong work ethic and eye for detail will go a long way here.
Hours: Saturdays and Sundays, 10am–3pm, with the potential for occasional weekday shifts if you're interested in extra hours.
Responsibilities:
- Clean guest bedrooms and en-suite bathrooms to a high standard between stays, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and disinfecting
- Get rooms turned around and ready in time for guest check-in
- Change bed linen and restock towels, toiletries, and tea/coffee supplies
- Keep communal areas — lounges, pantry, corridors, and stairwells — clean and tidy
- Handle rubbish and recycling responsibly
- Follow safety procedures when using cleaning equipment and chemical
Skills:
- Previous housekeeping or cleaning experience is helpful but not essential
- Strong attention to detail and pride in a job well done
- Comfortable using standard cleaning equipment
- Good physical stamina — able to stand, bend, and lift throughout a shift
- Reliable, with good time management
- Friendly and happy to work as part of a small team
Pay: £13.50-£15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5.0 – 15.0 per week
