Our growing team is hiring for a Lead Electrician position.
The Role
You will run jobs, not just work on them.
That means taking an installation from first fix through to test, inspection, commissioning and certification. Where there are apprentices, improvers or subcontractors on site, they work to your standard and answer to you.
You will be the technical decision maker on site. If something is not straightforward, you are the person who resolves it. You will carry the Fusion brand in front of the client, whether that is a homeowner, a site manager or a housing association contract manager.
You will report directly to the directors, with no layer in between.
Projects are mixed across domestic, commercial and industrial, in both the social housing and private sectors. Most weeks look different from the last.
Hours - Monday to Friday, 7.30am to 5.00pm. Saturdays paid at time and a half, Sundays and night work at double time.
Requirements to apply
Successful candidates will have already been operating at this level, whether or not they have had the title.
● NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
● 2391 inspection and testing
● 18th Edition
● Full UK driving licence
● Demonstrable experience taking jobs from first fix to handover without supervision. This is the part that matters most, and we will ask you to talk us through specific projects
● Confidence across domestic, commercial and industrial environments
Beyond the qualifications, we are looking for someone who upholds standards when nobody is watching, who can explain a problem to a client professionally, and who is comfortable discussing strategy and project changes with the directors.
Our three values are Professional, Approachable and Trustworthy. In this role they are not just posters in the office, they are values that show in how we work every day.
What we provide
£50,000 per year - Salaried and reviewed annually.
Your own van, iPad, full uniform, PPE and access equipment - All provided, all yours.
28 days paid holiday - plus a paid day off for your birthday.
SSSTS funded - Along with continued training and any qualifications you want to add. You tell us what you want next, and we pay for it.
Pension, weekly team meetings, and performance rewards - including tools, bonuses and vouchers.
A genuine say in how the company runs - We are small, we are growing quickly, and the person doing this job will shape how we quote, plan and deliver work.
