To be considered, applicants (single operatives or squads) must meet ALL of the following requirements:
- 1st Fix / Roughing Experience – Proven experience carrying out 1st fix and preplaster joinery on residential developments, ideally on NHBC-registered sites.
- NHBC Standards – You must be experienced in completing work to a consistently high standard and in accordance with NHBC requirements.
- CSCS Cards – All joiners must hold a valid Blue Skilled Worker or Gold Advanced Craft CSCS card.
- Own Tools & Transport – You must have a full professional set of joinery tools and reliable transport suitable for getting to site and carrying equipment.
- Self-Employed / CIS – All workers must be registered as self-employed, have a valid UTR number and be registered forCIS.
About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and hardworking 1st Fix Sheeting & Pre-plaster Joiners (Single Operatives or Squads) to join an ongoing residential development in the West Edinburgh area.
This is a sub-contract opportunity offering an immediate start and a consistent, long-term pipeline of work for the right individuals or established squads.
All work must be completed to strict NHBC standards, with a strong focus on quality, productivity and site safety.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities for carrying out a range of 1st fix sheeting and/or pre-plaster joinery works, including:
- Sheeting ceilings and external walls
- Installing vapour barriers and strapping walls
- Wooling ceiling perimeters and external walls
- Erecting, insulating and sheeting partitions
- Forming bulkheads
- Installing pads
- Installing meterboards
- Installing tank stools
- Fitting stairs
- Planking and sheeting party walls
- Fitting external doors
- Fitting partition runners
- Completing all works to the required NHBC standard
- Maintaining high levels of productivity and workmanship
- Strictly following all site health and safety requirements
