Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Nursery Cleaner 5 evenings per week to maintain a safe, hygienic, clean welcoming environment for the young learners. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring all nursery areas are spotless, sanitized, and well-organized, supporting the health and safety of children and staff alike. Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of nursery rooms, including floors, furniture, and play areas using appropriate commercial cleaning supplies and equipment
- Sanitize all surfaces regularly to prevent the spread of germs and maintain hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations
- Empty bins and dispose of waste responsibly to keep the environment clean and clutter-free
- Restock cleaning supplies, toiletries, and other necessary materials to ensure continuous cleanliness and readiness
- Conduct routine inspections of the nursery to identify areas needing attention or maintenance issues that require reporting
- Follow strict health and safety protocols during cleaning procedures to protect children, staff, and yourself
Experience
- Prior experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial roles is highly desirable
- Familiarity with cleaning techniques specific to childcare environments or similar settings is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on hygiene standards and safety regulations
- Reliable work ethic with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Good communication skills to coordinate with nursery staff regarding cleaning schedules and needs
