Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and versatile CARPENTER / MULTI-SKILLED TRADESPERSON to join our team. Responsibilities
- Carry out 1st and 2nd fix carpentry to a high standard.
- Install doors, frames, skirting, architraves, flooring, studwork, joists and other timber structures.
- Carry out roof carpentry, including rafters, trusses, fascia and associated timber work where required.
- Read and work accurately from plans, drawings and specifications.
- Set out and complete work independently without supervision.
- Carry out general multi-trade building work where competent and required.
- Work on extensions, renovations, refurbishments and general building projects.
- Identify problems on site and provide practical solutions.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship, finish and attention to detail.
- Work efficiently to agreed timescales and schedules.
- Take responsibility for your own work area and keep sites clean, safe and organised.
- Work effectively alongside bricklayers, roofers, labourers and subcontractors.
Experience
- 5 years + proven experience in carpentry, joinery, fabrication, or multi-trades roles within construction or maintenance environments.
- Proven experience carrying out 1st & 2nd fix carpentry
- Experience with timber frame, studwork, roofing and general structural carpentry.
- Experience fitting doors, frames, skirting, architraves.
- Previous experience working on commercial, residential or refurb projects.
Working hours:
Mon - Fri
8-4.30pm
Pay: £160.00-£200.00 per day
