The role
Reporting directly to the Assistant General Manager, you’ll help lead our evening operation and deliver consistently excellent service.
You’ll run evening service and take full responsibility when the Assistant General Manager is not present. This is a visible, hands-on position requiring confident leadership, sound judgement and the ability to maintain high standards in a genuinely busy restaurant.
This position offers planned progression to Restaurant Manager after 12 months, subject to excelling in the role.

- Leading the front-of-house team from the floor
- Organising the team and maintaining a smooth flow of service
- Coaching, motivating and supporting employees
- Maintaining excellent standards during busy periods
- Creating a relaxed, welcoming and professional guest experience
- Responding to guest feedback confidently and constructively
- Managing opening, closing and cash-handling procedures
- Maintaining health and safety, licensing and operational standards
- Working with senior management to improve performance and guest satisfaction

- Come from a busy, fast-paced restaurant
- Have experience leading restaurant service
- Be confident making decisions and taking responsibility
- Be a visible, hands-on leader
- Remain calm, organised and decisive during demanding services
- Set high standards and hold others accountable for maintaining them
- Communicate clearly with guests, colleagues and senior managers
- Be passionate about restaurant service and the guest experience
- Be available to work evenings, weekends and peak trading periods
Your working pattern
- 45 contracted hours per week across five days
- Five fixed working days each week
- A typical shift of approximately 15:00–23:30
- Start and finish times may vary to meet the contracted weekly hours
- A 30-minute break included in each shift
- No split shifts—we don’t do them
- Fixed working days and rotas do not routinely change
- Occasional changes may be required for holiday cover or during exceptionally busy periods, particularly August and December
What we offer
- £32,000 annual base salary
- Approximately £12,000 annual service charge at current levels for an employee working 45 hours per week*
- Service charge paid monthly with your salary
- Estimated total annual package of £44,000
- Five fixed working days per week
- No split shifts
- 28 days’ holiday per year, including bank holidays
- Meals on duty
- Workplace pension
- A supportive and sociable working environment
- Planned progression to Restaurant Manager after 12 months, subject to excelling in the role
If you’re an experienced Restaurant Supervisor or manager looking for greater responsibility, strong earning potential and a stable working pattern, we’d love to hear from you.
