- Contract: Term time only
- Minimum Age: 21 due to the requirements of the setting

What You'll Be Doing
As a Teaching Assistant, you'll play an important part in supporting students to become more confident, successful and independent.
You'll build professional and trusted relationships with young people while working closely with teaching staff to deliver a broad and balanced curriculum, both on and off site.
No two days will be exactly the same. You may be supporting an individual student on a 1:1 basis, working with a small group or providing support within the classroom.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting students with their learning, development and independence.
- Encouraging young people to become increasingly confident and self-reliant.
- Supporting teaching staff with the planning, preparation and delivery of educational programmes.
- Contributing to individual plans, assessments and reports.
- Monitoring, recording and reporting on students' progress.
- Supporting the development of positive social behaviours and self-regulation skills.
- Using positive behaviour-management strategies tailored to individual needs.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
- Ensuring safeguarding, health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
- Supporting learning and activities both within the college and out in the community.
Who We're Looking For
Previous SEN experience isn't essential. What matters most is your ability and desire to build positive, professional and trusted relationships with young people.
You'll ideally have:
- Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English.
- A positive, patient and creative approach to supporting young people.
- The ability to work confidently on your own and as part of a wider team.
- Good literacy and numeracy skills.
- Competent ICT skills.
- A commitment to safeguarding and putting the needs of young people first.
- The flexibility and resilience needed to adapt your approach to different students and situations.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is highly desirable due to the rural location.
