Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and motivated Supervisor/Key Holder to join our retail team for our New Southend store. This role involves overseeing daily store operations, managing staff, and ensuring excellent customer service. As a key holder, you will be entrusted with opening and closing the store, maintaining sales standards, and supporting the management team to achieve business goals. Responsibilities
- Supervise daily store operations to ensure smooth functioning and high standards of customer service.
- Lead and motivate team members, providing guidance and support to optimise performance.
- Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and monitor attendance to ensure adequate coverage during shifts.
- Assist with merchandising activities, including stock organisation, visual displays, and inventory control.
- Handle customer enquiries professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Support sales initiatives by engaging with customers, promoting products, and achieving sales targets.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies at all times.
- Open and close the store as a key holder, conducting security checks and cash handling procedures.
- Maintain organisational records related to sales, stock levels, and staff performance for administrative purposes.
Experience
- Proven supervisory or management experience within retail or a similar customer-focused environment.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to communicate with diverse customer bases.
- Experience in sales management, merchandising, and organisational tasks is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills coupled with professional phone etiquette.
- Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently.
