What’s the role?
As a Warehouse Operative you will be a key part of the day-to-day operations of the branch. Your role will focus on ensuring the receiving, storage, picking, and loading of stock is completed efficiently and accurately, contributing to the smooth running of the branch. You will work within a supportive and safety-focused environment, helping our team provide the best possible service to our customers.
What you’ll be doing:
- Receive and store goods accurately in the correct locations within the warehouse.
- Handle materials with care, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and stocking of products to meet customer orders and inventory requirements.
- Maintain accurate stock records.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe warehouse environment.
- Build positive relationships with customers at the collection and returns point.
- Be flexible and assist with stocktaking and overtime as required.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely dispatches and arrivals of shipments, contributing to overall warehouse efficiency
Skills:
- Good data accuracy, numeracy, and basic IT skills.
- Previous experience in a warehouse or yard role is advantageous.
- A flexible and adaptable approach with a can-do attitude.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- A customer-oriented mindset and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent attention to detail for quality control checks and accurate documentation
