We are looking for another member of staff to join the Show Works team. Based in Ascot.
Show Works provides sound, video, data and power services encompassing both dry hire and full production to the theatre and events industry, with a split of about 50/50 for each. As such day to day life at Show Works can be varied, from prepping dry hires to working on site on large scale immersive experiences, installs or maintenance contracts throughout the UK and internationally. Every day is different, quite literally!
Warehouse Technician
40 hours p/w | 28 days holiday | TOIL/Overtime (can be flexible) | Pension
The role is centred on our warehouse and hire operation - keeping stock prepped, tested and out the door on time, and making sure it all comes back in good order. If you like being hands-on with kit and running a tidy, well-organised stores, this is for you.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing, testing and packing equipment for hires and sales
- Booking equipment in and out, checking returns for damage and completeness
- Maintaining the warehouse - keeping stock organised, labelled and easy to locate
- Overseeing hire inventory, ensuring assets are correctly maintained, tracked and serviced
- Loading and unloading vehicles, and managing the loading bay
- Routine testing, maintenance and repair of equipment (PAT testing, cable checks, etc.)
- Occasional on-site production and venue installation work
- Client and supplier liaison
- Travel and driving for work
