The Role: Reporting to the Pallet Network Manager you will provide support to the daily operations of pallet network activities working closely with the Pallet Network Manager, drivers, warehouse staff and customers playing a key role in maintaining service levels, operational efficiency and compliance across the pallet network operation. Key responsibilities include:
- Coordination of daily pallet network collections and deliveries, reporting any issues to the Pallet Network Manager.
- Monitoring of live operational activity and communicate updates to drivers, warehouse staff and customers.
- Correctly entering, labelling, scanning and tracking of all pallet network consignments.
- Provide support for route planning and delivery scheduling in order to maximise efficiency of vehicle utilisation and service.
- Providing assistance with trunking preparation thus ensuring all freight is ready for network departure times.
- Ensuring Proof of Deliveries and pallet paperwork are completed accurately and on time.
You will be required to have:-
- Previous experience within transport, pallet network or logistics operation.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities, demonstrating a professional and customer focused approach.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced transport team environment.
- Good IT skills including Microsoft Office and transport management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Working Monday to Friday based on a rotating shift:-
06:00 – 16:00 or 09:00-19:00
