Role: Accounts Assistant - Purchase Ledger

Pay: Depending on experience with an opportunity for an increase on annual basis subject to satisfactory performance.
Working hours: 8:00 – 16:30 Monday to Friday with one 30 min break. 40hrs a week.

Due to continued growth and investment, we are looking for a new addition to our Accounts Department. A successful candidate will be adaptable, take strong ownership of their tasks, and communicate clearly. In a small, high-performing team, every contribution is pivotal, making proactive initiative and strong collaborative skills essential for driving efficiency and results.
Duties will include:
· Processing invoices - matching invoices to goods received, seeking approvals for payment, uploading to Microsoft Business Central.
· Subcontractor applications - Entering Sub-Contractor Applications for Payment into Business Central against the correct project, seeking approvals for payment and posting into system.
· Application Retention & Movement - Ascertaining month end positions by entering applications for payment, monies received and retentions held against each project.
· Credit Card Statement - Matching employee expenses against credit card statement received, obtaining missing receipts and posting completed month.
· Cash Flow Forecast - Updating the weekly 13-week cash flow forecast across multiple accounts and companies.
· Pensions - Compiling the monthly pensions contributions and uploading onto the providers online system.
· CIS Returns - Compiling the monthly Sub-Contractor CIS Return and issuing of individual statements.
· AEOs & CSA - Compiling the monthly AEO and CSA orders and making the appropriate payments.
· Rental Invoices - Compiling monthly inter-company and tenant rental invoices and arranging payments where necessary.
· Monthly reconciliation of supplier statements.
Additional duties will include:
· Opening, sorting, and circulating the post.
· Scanning, saving, and circulating, via SharePoint, supplier correspondence.
· Data Entry into Business Central of: Purchase Invoices, Direct Debit Payments, New Supplier Credit Account Details, Subcontractor applications.
· Ensuring subcontractor insurance details are up to date.
· Participating in regular full factory stock takes.
· Raising purchase orders.
· Processing bank payments.
Desirable skills, qualifications, experience:
· AAT L3 or L4 qualification would be advantageous.
· Organisational skills.
· High attention to detail.
· The ability to prioritise and multi-task.
· Ability to work effectively within a small team.
Awareness and practical knowledge of Business Central, Jet Reports, Continia, SharePoint, Power BI, CIS, Sage or any accounting software will be a distinct advantage but not essential.
