Role Summary
The main role for the cleanroom cleaner is to be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of ISO Class 7 cleanroom facilities.
The cleanroom cleaner plays a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of the cleanroom environment and upholding high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, in accordance with the Companies Standard Operating Procedures.
What you’ll be doing
- Maintain the safety, cleanliness and integrity of the Tubing cleanroom areas, operating under agreed clean room procedures. Ensuring compliance to cGMP guidelines in all processes.
- Encourage a culture within the department that is consistent with the businesses core values of safety, collaboration, customer focus, excellence, respect and integrity.
- Be responsible for completing all cleaning requirements in compliance with official documents such as risk assessments, W-M policies, SOP’s, tc., as part of our ISO 9001 QA system.
- Update and maintain cleaning records for all cleaning activities in accordance with relevant SOP’s and to ensure cleaning traceability.
- To adhere to the strict hygiene procedures and use all the required PPE as per procedure to minimise the risk of product contamination.
- To take responsibility and assist as necessary in the transfer of production and cleaning consumables into the cleanrooms as defined in SOP’s.
- Support the drive for continuous improvement within the Tubing extrusion areas. Including OEE, Gem projects, bright ideas, 5S, BBS, EH&S, stock control, layouts and other improvements.
- Maintain the rotation of cleaning material stocks in accordance with laid down procedures, replenishing the clean room stock as necessary, following the material transfer procedures at all times.
- Take responsibility to manage all production and cleaning materials and consumables stock to ensure sufficient quantities are always available. Regularly audit stock levels and action as required.
- Clean and maintain the cleanroom fabric, equipment and process machinery to the necessary standards, liaising with the Team Leaders to ensure cleaning is undertaken around production requirements.
- Ensure all cleaning materials are suitably stored in appropriate cabinets taking account of FIFO.
- Take ownership for the MSDS / COSHH requirements of all cleaning materials
- Additional tasks associated with Tubing Production and Cleaning may be expected to be added to this role.

Previous experience of working in a cleanroom environment or commercial cleaning area desirable.
