At Alanda’s, we’re not your typical workplace — we’re a family-run street food team bringing great food and great energy to some of Scotland’s biggest events.
From buzzing city festivals to major shows, you’ll spend your summer right in the heart of the action — meeting new people, learning new skills, and getting paid to be part of unforgettable experiences.
WHAT YOU’LL LOVE ABOUT THE ROLE
- No two days are the same — from laid-back food festivals to high-energy crowd events
- Work across some of Scotland’s most iconic summer events
- Be part of a fun, supportive, and fast-paced team
- Gain hands-on experience in customer service, ice cream scooping, and teamwork
- Travel to events (transport provided for non-local locations)
KEY EVENT DATES (2026) ALL EVENTS ARE MANDATORY PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU CANNOT WORK THESE DATES
- Royal Highland Show – 17th–21st June
- Haddington Show – 27th June
- Scottish Open – 8th–12th July
- Edinburgh Festival Fringe – 31st July–31st August
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
- Taking orders and handling payments
- Scooping gelato
- Keeping the unit clean, organised, and well-stocked
- Working closely with a high-energy team
- Delivering great customer experiences in a fast-paced environment
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Friendly, outgoing, and reliable individuals
- People who thrive in busy, fast-paced environments
- Students or seasonal workers looking for a fun, rewarding summer job
- Previous hospitality experience is great, but not essential
- Experienced applicants may be considered for supervisor roles
