Salary: £28,027 to £30,341 (Grade 5, SCP 22-25)
Hours: Full Time, annualised hours (predominantly term time with Christmas and New Year off)

About the role
This is a hands-on leadership role within our Venue Management team, supporting the delivery of our bars, café spaces and events programme.
You’ll work closely with the Venues General Manager to lead day-to-day operations, supervise a large team of student staff, and ensure our venues are safe, welcoming and delivering a high-quality experience.
This role is ideal for:
- Supervisors ready to step into a management role
- Graduates building a career in hospitality or events
- Former Union Team Members progressing into full-time work

- A fast-paced, high-pressure environment, particularly during peak periods
- A mix of daytime operations and late-night shifts
- Leading teams in live, customer-facing situations
- Making decisions quickly to keep operations running smoothly
- Balancing customer experience, compliance and commercial performance
No two days are the same - and you’ll need to be confident, adaptable and ready to lead from the front.
What we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a hospitality or customer-facing role (ideally high-volume)
- Has experience supervising or supporting a team
- Is confident working in fast-paced, high-pressure environments
- Communicates clearly and works well with a range of people
- Is organised and able to manage competing priorities
- Uses initiative and makes sound decisions in an operational setting
- Has a working knowledge of key regulations (e.g. H&S, licensing)
- Can work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
