What you’ll be doing:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Manager for the Reablement and Independence Service (RIS) who will play a pivotal leadership role in delivering short-term, outcome-focused care.
This role is integral to Slough Borough Council’s vision of integrated, person-centred care. You’ll work closely with the OT Service Manager and Head of Short Term Services to deliver a unified “one service” approach that ensures:
- Seamless hospital discharges into reablement
- Proportionate care planning
- Cost-effective interventions that reduce long-term dependency
You’ll also represent RIS in Integrated Care System (ICS) and council-wide meetings, ensuring alignment with strategic goals and values.

Annual increments, where applicable, are usually payable on 1 April, subject to six months’ service and satisfactory performance, until the maximum spinal column point is reached.
Alongside a competitive salary, we provide: 26 days’ annual leave, rising to 30 days after 2 years and 33 days after 5 years’ service.
