Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Cleaning Operations Manager to join our Cleaning Division and provide strong operational leadership across a varied client portfolio.This is a key management role, supporting the Operations Director and working closely with Area Managers, supervisors, cleaning teams, clients, customers, and service partners. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring high standards of service delivery, maintaining strong client relationships, monitoring KPIs, producing reports, and supporting operational performance across multiple sites.In addition to core cleaning services, the role will also involve overseeing and coordinating additional services offered to clients, such as planting, window cleaning, waste management, and other soft services. The successful candidate will help ensure these services are delivered efficiently, professionally, and in line with client expectations.We are looking for someone who is proactive, confident, organised, and able to make sound decisions without constant direction. This role would suit an experienced cleaning, facilities, or soft services professional who enjoys being both client-facing and operationally involved.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide senior operational support across the Cleaning Division.
- Support Area Managers with day-to-day operational matters, site standards, staffing challenges, and service delivery.
- Oversee and coordinate additional client services, including planting, window cleaning, waste management, and other soft services.
- Liaise with internal teams, suppliers, and subcontractors to ensure add-on services are delivered to the required standard.
- Identify opportunities to improve or expand additional services for clients where appropriate.
- Meet regularly with clients and customers to review performance, resolve issues, and maintain strong working relationships.
- Monitor service performance against agreed KPIs and contractual standards.
- Produce clear reports, updates, action plans, and performance summaries.
- Carry out regular site visits to review cleaning standards, compliance, staffing, customer satisfaction, and additional service delivery.
- Identify areas for improvement and ensure corrective actions are completed.
- Support mobilisation of new contracts, service changes, and improvement plans.
- Provide guidance and support to supervisors and cleaning teams.
- Ensure high standards of communication, professionalism, and accountability across the division.
- Escalate significant risks or concerns to the Operations Director where required.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience in cleaning operations, facilities management, soft services, or a similar service-led environment.
- Experience managing teams and services across multiple sites.
- Experience coordinating additional soft services such as window cleaning, waste, planting, washroom services, pest control, or similar would be advantageous.
- Strong client-facing and customer service skills.
- The ability to monitor, report on, and deliver against KPIs.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Confidence in making decisions and taking ownership of issues.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- The ability to support, motivate, and challenge managers, supervisors, and frontline teams.
- Good IT skills, including the ability to produce reports and updates.
- A full UK driving licence, or the ability to travel between sites.

Schedule
- Full-time
- Monday to Friday (availability on weekends occasionally)
- Flexibility required to meet operational and client needs
Work Location
- Multi-site / field-based, with attendance at company offices and client sites as required
