Job Summary:
Full-time Counter Sales/Warehouse Person/ Delivery Driver required for a long-established local company. Applicants must be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required. They must hold a full, clean driving licence for at least one year, and be over 21 for insurance purposes.
Experience in customer service, delivery of goods, manual handling and some knowledge of the plumbing industry would be an advantage. Further training will be given as required.
Based out of our Weymouth Branch delivering mostly in the local area.
This would be an ideal position for a reliable, hardworking individual keen to take on the responsibility of the role. Good rates of pay plus profit/performance related bonuses.
Duties:
- Counter sales and warehouse duties
- Safely and efficiently operate a delivery van to transport goods
- Load and unload products from the vehicle
- Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
- Ensure all necessary paperwork, such as delivery logs and invoices, is completed accurately
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance tasks
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving
Experience:
- Previous experience in Counter sales/Warehouse duties/Delivery of goods or in a similar role is preferred
- Familiarity with warehouse operations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physical tasks as required
