Are you a passionate and inspiring Dance Teacher who loves working with young people?
Stagecoach Performing Arts Tiverton is looking for an enthusiastic, creative and experienced Dance Teacher to join our friendly team on Saturday mornings, providing maternity cover for our current teacher.
About the Role
You’ll teach students aged 6 to 18 years, helping them develop their dance technique, confidence, creativity and performance skills in a fun, energetic and supportive environment.
- Plan and deliver engaging dance classes across a range of styles
- Develop students’ technique, performance skills and confidence
- Choreograph routines for shows, demonstrations and performances
- Support students of different ages and abilities to achieve their potential
- Collaborate with our Drama and Singing teachers to deliver exciting, high-quality performing arts training
- Create a positive and inclusive environment where every student feels valued and can thrive
What We’re Looking For
- Experience teaching dance to children and young people
- Strong dance technique and choreography skills
- Knowledge of a variety of dance styles, particularly musical theatre
- An energetic, encouraging and engaging teaching style
- A positive and reliable team player with excellent communication skills
- Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
Desirable
- Professional performance or musical theatre experience
- Relevant dance teaching or performing arts qualifications
- Experience choreographing for youth productions and performances
