Duties
- Assist with food and meal preparation, including chopping, assembling ingredients, and portioning dishes according to recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team in maintaining cleanliness by washing dishes, sanitizing work surfaces, and organizing storage areas
- Help with food safety practices by adhering to hygiene protocols and proper storage procedures
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including peeling, slicing, and measuring components for various dishes
- Support serving staff during meal service by delivering food promptly and ensuring presentation standards are upheld
- Restock supplies and ingredients as needed to keep the kitchen well-equipped for daily operations
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment for everyone
Qualifications
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and kitchen safety practices
- Familiarity with meal preparation, food safety standards, and hygiene protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
