Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to support our culinary team in delivering high-quality food services. Duties
- Assist with meal and food preparation, ensuring all ingredients are prepared according to recipes and standards
- Support the kitchen team with food safety and hygiene practices to maintain compliance with health regulations
- Help with cleaning and sanitising kitchen equipment, utensils, and work surfaces regularly
- Organise ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
- Serve food to customers or staff in a courteous and efficient manner when required
- Assist with inventory checks and restocking supplies as needed
- Follow all safety procedures during food handling and preparation activities
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various tasks as directed
Requirements
- Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good organisational skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills related to meal preparation and kitchen operations
- Flexibility to work shifts as required, including weekends or evenings if necessary
