Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Team Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our pub. The Fox is Twickenham's oldest pub and has lots of reasons to visit. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for culinary excellence, and a background in supervising teams in fast-paced settings such as restaurants, hotels, or catering establishments. The successful applicant will be responsible for managing team performance, maintaining operational efficiency, and supporting the development of staff members.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of food service staff, including cooks, servers, and kitchen assistants, ensuring smooth daily operations.
- Oversee food preparation and cooking processes to meet quality standards and health & safety regulations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety protocols and maintain cleanliness standards across the kitchen and service areas.
- Coordinate with the management team to, organise shifts, and optimise resource allocation.
- Provide training and mentorship to team members to enhance their skills in food production, customer service, and safety procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies; liaise with suppliers as needed to ensure timely replenishment.
- Handle customer feedback professionally, resolving issues promptly to uphold the organisation’s reputation for hospitality excellence.
- Support the implementation of new menu items or service initiatives while maintaining consistency in quality.
- Assist in managing operational challenges during busy periods or unforeseen circumstances.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience within a pub, restaurant, hotel, or catering environment.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks efficiently under pressure.
- Previous experience in hospitality roles such as serving or barista work is advantageous.
- A passion for delivering outstanding customer service combined with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
