The role…
Are you a passionate, forward thinking Stage Technician experienced in delivering and maintaining large-scale productions to the highest quality and standards?
We are currently recruiting for Senior Production Technicians (Stage) to work at the Adelphi Theatre. In this exciting role, you will be part of a team who will deliver the technical requirements for the run of The Comedy About Spies.
Working with a diverse and multi-skilled team, you will provide the highest standard of customer experience to our resident production and break new ground in our industry.
What you’ll be doing…
Working on all shows, and all technical rehearsals of The Comedy About Spies, you will be required to cover the following roles during Rehearsals and Performances:
- Stage Production Technicians
- Prepping the show each day and helping to conduct safety checks.
- Working closely with the visiting company and its Stage Management to ensure the smooth and safe operation of each show.
- Manage show consumable stock levels.
- Working as part of a team to maintain a professional work environment, where performers, technicians and audience members are safe.
- Problem solving during live performances.
- Supervise & conduct presets and interval changes for the show when required.
- Supervise & conduct maintenance on the set & special effects rigs of the show, so it always looks its best.
- This role may also require other supervisory responsibilities.
- Ad hoc project work as directed by the Head of Department.
- Manual handling and Work at Height necessary in this role and training will be provided.
What we need…
- Experience working on a West End Show / production environment.
- Previous work with scenic rigging and motor controls.
- Enjoy working as part of a team in a vibrant and lively environment.
- Open minded with a willingness to learn, train and be trained.
- A proactive and professional manner with good timekeeping.
- A conscientious approach; accurate and with an eye for detail.
- Logical and methodical, with the ability to follow instruction precisely.
- Adaptable, with the ability to use initiative in identifying problems and working with the team to find solutions.
- An understanding of automation and of theatre health and safety is desirable.
- Willingness to work overtime as / when required.

Rate of Pay: Excellent uplift over SOLT/ BECTU: £18.01/hour for a 40 hour week over 6 days, plus bonus.
