About the Role
We are looking for a qualified Category "C" HGV Driver to join our busy transport department based at our Welshpool depot.
In this role, you will be responsible for the safe carriage and delivery of goods—including cases of wines, beers, minerals, kegs, and casks—to our trade customers. Deliveries require placing goods directly where the customer needs them (including cellar positioning) and collecting empty kegs.
Key Responsibilities
- Driving Class C HGVs and occasionally delivery vans depending on route requirements.
- Delivering drinks products safely to trade venues and positioning stock in customer cellars.
- Safely handling and removing empty kegs and casks.
- Working as part of a two-person team (a Driver’s Mate will assist you on most larger HGV rounds).
- Loading and securing vehicles prior to departure.
What We Offer
- Salary: £31,381 per year
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (41.25 hours/week). Very rare weekend work.
- Overtime Pay: Paid at time and a half for any hours worked over 41.25 per week.
- Training & Qualifications: Full training provided on cellar deliveries, lorry loading, and keg handling. We also keep all your required HGV qualifications up to date.
Requirements
- Valid Category "C" (Class 2) HGV licence.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- Physical fitness, as this is an active, physically demanding role.
- Strong customer service focus and reliable work ethic.
