Responsibilities
- Execute carpentry tasks such as framing, door fitting, and general woodwork with precision and attention to detail
- Carry out roofing repairs, installations, and maintenance to ensure structural integrity and weatherproofing
- Perform construction painting to prepare surfaces, apply finishes, and enhance the appearance of buildings
- Conduct plumbing work including pipe installation, repairs, and maintenance to ensure proper water flow and drainage
- Undertake masonry duties such as bricklaying, blockwork, and concrete work to support structural projects
- Operate welding equipment for fabrication, repairs, or assembly of metal components
- Handle electrical tasks including wiring, socket installation, and troubleshooting electrical systems (where qualified)
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively across various trades to complete assigned tasks
- Fabricate custom components or modifications as required for specific projects or repairs
- Collaborate with team members to plan work sequences, ensure safety standards are met, and deliver projects on time
Experience
- Proven experience in multiple trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, or electrical work
- Skilled in the use of hand tools (e.g., hammers, saws) and power tools (e.g., drills, grinders) for diverse applications
- Knowledge of construction safety protocols and ability to adhere strictly to health & safety regulations
- Ability to interpret technical drawings or specifications to carry out precise work
- Strong problem-solving skills with a flexible approach to handling varied tasks efficiently
- Previous experience working on construction sites or in maintenance environments is highly desirable
- Certifications in relevant trades or safety training are advantageous but not mandatory; willingness to undertake necessary training is expected
