About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant through Excell Supply, you will work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-to-one and small group support.
- Assisting pupils with their academic, social, and emotional development.
- Supporting the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Encouraging independence, confidence, and positive learning behaviours.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Helping to create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.
About You
Excell Supply is looking for individuals who:
- Have experience working with children or young people with SEN (preferred but not essential).
- Are patient, empathetic, and resilient.
- Have excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.
- Are adaptable and able to respond to the varying needs of learners.
- Hold a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable).
