Salary: £ 27.5K – 29.5K (dependent on experience)
Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday 8:30am – 5:00pm | Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm

Role Overview
As a Senior Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the warehouse, ensuring orders are dispatched accurately and on time, stock is controlled effectively, and warehouse standards are maintained.
You will lead by example, help coordinate workloads, support colleagues, and take ownership of key operational activities to ensure the warehouse runs smoothly and efficiently.
This is a hands-on role that combines warehouse duties, team support, stock management, and operational responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
- Lead and support the smooth day-to-day running of the warehouse
- Pick, pack, and dispatch customer orders accurately and efficiently
- Ensure all orders leave the warehouse within agreed timescales
- Assist with customer and courier collections
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment
Team Support & Leadership
- Support and guide warehouse colleagues in their daily activities
- Help allocate and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines
- Promote a positive, accountable, and team-focused culture
- Communicate effectively with warehouse and office teams
Goods In & Stock Control
- Receive, check, and process incoming goods
- Investigate and report delivery discrepancies or damages
- Lead weekly stock counts and support company-wide stock takes
- Monitor stock levels and identify shortages
- Ensure stock is stored safely, accurately, and efficiently
Courier & Logistics
- Liaise with couriers regarding collections
- Assist in resolving delivery issues and delays
Manufacturing & Assembly
- Organise preparation work & mechanical assembly
- Ensure products meet company quality standards
Health & Safety
- Promote safe working practices at all times
- Ensure warehouse equipment is maintained and fit for use
- Support housekeeping and warehouse improvement initiatives
- Help maintain compliance with company Health & Safety procedures
About You
We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, enjoys responsibility, and can motivate others through a positive and proactive approach.
Essential:
- Minimum 3 years' warehouse experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Good communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with stock control and inventory management
- Competent with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word and Excel)
- GCSE grade C/5 or above in Maths and English
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a senior warehouse role
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Experience using courier or warehouse management systems
- Experience within manufacturing, engineering, or industrial products
