Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and personable Food and Beverage Assistant to join our team as a live-in staff member. Responsibilities
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, maintaining cleanliness and organisation in the kitchen area.
- Support catering functions by setting up event spaces, serving guests, and clearing tables efficiently.
- Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene throughout all operations.
- Handle barista duties if required, including preparing coffee and other beverages with attention to quality.
- Ensure the dining area is clean, tidy, and well-presented at all times.
- Provide excellent customer service by anticipating guest needs and responding promptly.
- Support the team during busy periods and assist with general duties around the premises to ensure smooth operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in catering or hospitality is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
- Experience in serving or restaurant work will be advantageous.
- Barista experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of food safety standards is preferred but can be learned on the job.
- A friendly demeanour with strong communication skills is essential.
- Prior experience in food preparation or hospitality roles will help in delivering outstanding guest experiences.
