Due to increasing demand in the Nottingham area, we are looking to recruit dedicated and compassionate Support Workers / Healthcare Assistants to join our team.
Role Summary
As a Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant, you will provide person-centred care that promotes independence, dignity, and wellbeing. You will work in service users’ homes and supported living settings, supporting a range of needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and continence support
- Assist with medication in line with care plans and training
- Support with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary requirements
- Encourage independence and support service users with daily routines and activities
- Maintain accurate care records and report any concerns or incidents promptly
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and other professionals
- Follow safeguarding procedures and ensure the safety and wellbeing of service users at all times
Requirements
- Previous care experience is beneficial but not essential (full training provided)
- Caring, reliable, and flexible approach
- Ability to work across Nottingham (NG18 and nearby areas)
- Good communication and basic record-keeping skills
- Commitment to maintaining dignity, respect, and confidentiality
