Renato’s is looking for a passionate and experienced Sous chef to help run and work alongside our Head Chef, delivering Detroit and NY-style pizzas at our popular pizzeria in the centre of Bristol.
The business is split into two areas:
The Pizzeria - serving whole pizza and by the slice late into the night 7 days a week. The adjoining room hosts DJs and live music on the weekends.
The Bar - the beating heart of Renato’s; serving a large range of drinks from cider, beers and wine to cocktails and more.
Senior Pizza Chef
As a Sous Chef of this venue, you will be working with the Head Chef, to maintain procedures and structure to ensure the success of the business.
Working with the Head Chef, you will be comfortable training a team, building and maintaining a great working atmosphere and ensuring proper practice is enacted and followed, while working to budgets and targets. You will always work to ensure that our customers experience the best service possible, and that the team is working together to maintain high standards of service.
You will be able to show that you are:
- Organised and can open and run a busy kitchen.
- Confident, and inspiring, able to manage a large team, and bring people together across multiple areas of the business.
- Capable and independent. Able to be self motivated at times.
- A hands on leader, confident in training new staff and leading by example.
Ideally, you will have the following:
- Experience in running a kitchen specialising in pizza.
- Experience in working with New York and Detroit style pizza.
- Experience of working in a busy kitchen and working to budgets, targets and implementing and following all relevant regulations and legislation.
- An interest in pizza and craft beer
