Associate Consultant – Executive Search (Private Markets & Asset Management)

About the role
We are retained by one of the most respected executive search firms operating within Private Markets and Asset Management. This is a graduate-level entry point into a high-calibre, internationally active search business with a clearly defined path to Partner.
The firm operates on a 100% retained model, partnering with the world's leading alternative asset managers, traditional investment firms and specialist real assets investors. Average placement fees exceed £150,000, and mandates consistently sit at Director to C-Suite level. Recent examples include Global Head of Private Markets, Head of Infrastructure Business Development and Head of Private Debt.
The opportunity
80% of placements are made at Director to C-Suite level, meaning you will work on genuinely senior mandates from day one.
The firm operates an international platform, with approximately 55% of placements across EMEA, 35% across the Americas and 10% across APAC, with genuine cross-border collaboration across offices.
There is a proven Associate to Partner progression track. Many of the firm's current senior leaders started in this role and progressed entirely internally.

Training and development are best in class, with a structured programme from day one.
The firm hosts company-wide offsites, with upcoming destinations including Croatia and Barbados. The last Associate placed into the London team was flown internationally as part of their induction, reflecting the genuinely global nature of the platform.
Who we are looking for
A strong academic record, likely a 2:1 or above from a top university.
Achievement, whether through sport, internships or otherwise — you must be able to demonstrate you are an achiever.
Genuine curiosity about financial services, private markets or investment management.
Strong written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
Commercially minded and intellectually driven, ambitious but a strong team player.
A desire to work in recruitment or executive search.
