Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Deputy Manager to join our healthcare team here at Cavell House. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a comprehensive understanding of patient care across various settings, including assisted living, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality senior and specialised care, supporting both staff and patients in a dynamic healthcare setting. The successful applicant will be responsible for assisting the Home Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards, and maintaining exceptional patient outcomes. The Clinical Deputy Manager will work on a shift basis and may on occasion deputise for the Home Manager.
Duties
- To ensure alongside the Home Manager that each resident has an appropriate and good quality pre-admission assessment and Person-Centred care plan, which is delivered on a daily and ongoing basis
- To ensure all treatments/ therapies and personal care/ support is carried out in accordance with best practice and in line with current guidance from the NMC and in line with requirements of all current legislation
- To have responsibility for the assessment and admission of residents to the home
- To ensure high standards of resident care at all times
- To undertake and record clinical observations
- To lead on all documentation activity ie: regular audit paperwork, care plans, daily notes, communications, diet, wight, MAR charts etc
- To ensure proper control dispensing and monitoring of medications
- To assist with recruitment of nursing staff, and oversee any new inductions
- To manage and supervise staff for whom the post holder has direct management responsibility for
- Rota allocations for Nursing and Care staff
- Monitoring and managing staff performance
- Monitoring staff appraisals and supervisions
- Ensure excellent communication with all staff, residents, their families, advocates and funders
- Reporting of accidents and incidents
- Liaise with all other healthcare professionals
Pay: £60,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
