An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive, dynamic and inspiring Band 6 Interventional and Fluoroscopic Radiographer to join the team in the Radiology Department at Musgrove Park Hospital.

Main duties, tasks & skills required
To undertake IR (Radiology and Cardiology), fluoroscopy and general radiography (including peripheral sites), take part in the extended hours and on-call service, to meet service needs.
The IRF component will consist of room and equipment preparation, patient care and management of complex x-ray equipment to support the clinical team to provide a high standard of safe and efficient IRF radiography. IR is a rapidly growing area with an increasing volume and complexity of procedures therefore there will be a need to develop new skills and understanding as new procedures are include in the service.
To undertake projectional radiography as required.
To undertake foundation management tasks as defined in the job description.
This post holder will be required to undertake out-of-hours duties, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays duties. A maximum journey time of 30 minutes will apply for emergency call response.
Any other reasonable task commensurate with grade as directed by the radiology manager.
