Chef – Katsuro (Clapham Junction, London)

Katsuro opened just over year ago and has already been featured in The Financial Times for its authentic flavours and vibrant atmosphere. We’re now looking for a passionate and driven Chef to grow with us and become part of our exciting journey.
About the Role
You’ll be working closely with our head team to deliver beautifully cooked Japanese dishes — from crisp, golden katsu to seasonal specials that capture the Katsuro spirit.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to learn, grow, and be part of a supportive and energetic kitchen team.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook dishes following Katsuro’s recipes and quality standards
- Maintain high levels of food presentation, taste, and consistency
- Keep the kitchen clean, safe, and well-organised at all times
- Work closely with front-of-house to ensure smooth service and happy guests
- Support kitchen operations, stock management, and daily prep
- Contribute ideas to menu development and seasonal specials
- Uphold food hygiene and safety standards (Level 2 or above preferred)

- A genuine passion for Japanese food and hospitality
- A team-player mindset — positive, respectful, and eager to learn
- Some kitchen experience is great, but enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter most
- Strong work ethic and good communication skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused during busy service
