Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Host/Hostess to join MNKY HSE team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring they receive a warm welcome and exceptional service from the moment they arrive. Your organisational skills and welcoming demeanour will help create a memorable experience for all visitors, contributing to the overall success of our establishment. Previous experience in a similar role or in the hospitality industry is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Greeting guests with a friendly and professional attitude, making them feel comfortable and valued
- Managing reservations and waiting lists efficiently to optimise seating arrangements
- Assisting guests with seating arrangements and providing menus upon arrival
- Answering phone calls courteously, handling enquiries, and taking reservations with excellent phone etiquette
- Coordinating with the service team to ensure smooth flow of guests and timely seating
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation of the reception area and waiting zones
- Handling guest queries or concerns promptly and professionally, escalating issues when necessary
- Supporting team members during busy periods to ensure high standards of guest service are maintained
Experience
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is preferred but not mandatory
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Experience with guest services, serving, or front-of-house roles is beneficial
- Familiarity with hotel or restaurant operations can be an advantage
- Ability to demonstrate excellent phone etiquette and organisational skills
- A friendly demeanour combined with professionalism to enhance guest satisfaction
