Are you an experienced, compassionate leader ready to make a profound difference in young people’s lives? We are seeking two dynamic Registered Managers to lead two of our small, specialized residential homes supporting adolescents with complex social and emotional needs.
In our homes, we don't just provide shelter—we build safe, nurturing environments centered around therapeutic and trauma-informed practice. You will lead dedicated teams, shape positive cultures, and ensure the highest standards of care.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operations: Take full registration responsibility with Ofsted/CQC, driving outstanding care standards and regulatory compliance across the home.
- Therapeutic Culture: Embed trauma-informed, therapeutic principles into daily practice, creating an environment where adolescents feel secure, heard, and supported.
- Staff Empowerment: Mentor, supervise, and develop a resilient residential team, fostering continuous professional growth and dynamic team cohesion.
- Multi-Agency Collaboration: Partner effectively with social workers, therapists, educational specialists, and families to create tailored support plans for every young person.
- Resource Management: Oversee home budgets, rota planning, and occupancy while maintaining a warm, home-like environment.
Duties
- Lead the day-to-day management of the children’s home, ensuring high standards of care and safety are maintained at all times
- Develop, implement, and review personalized care plans tailored to each child's unique needs, including those requiring assistance with mental health challenges or complex behavioral issues
- Supervise and support a team of care staff, providing leadership, training, and performance management to foster a motivated and professional workforce
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including safeguarding policies, health and safety standards, and local authority guidelines
- Oversee medication administration procedures to ensure accuracy and safety in line with prescribed plans
- Maintain detailed records of children's progress, incidents, care activities, and staff rotas to support effective oversight and reporting
- Foster positive relationships with families, social workers, healthcare professionals, and external agencies to promote collaborative care

Requirement Details
Qualifications Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent) or a willingness to achieve it.
Experience Minimum 2+ years of leadership/management experience in a child/adolescent residential setting.
Expertise Strong working knowledge of trauma-informed care and therapeutic practice framework.
Skills Exceptional communication, crisis de-escalation, regulatory knowledge, and staff management skills.
Requirements Full UK Driver’s Licence and enhanced DBS check.
