The role:
This post is an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Health Care Support Worker/Nursery Nurse to join the Community Paediatric Nursing Team for Glasgow. The team provides support and care for children and young people with learning disabilities, complex health needs, and/or neurodiversity within the community, either in their own homes or in a clinic setting.
The post holder will support the disability nursing team in providing an accessible, appropriate, culturally sensitive, safe, person-centred, and effective service for children, young people, and their families.
All other roles will be assessed for sponsorship eligibility in line with current Home Office requirements. NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde (NHSGGC) can only issue a Certificate of Sponsorship (CoS) where these are met.
Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:
Permanent, Full-time 36 Hours
Shift Pattern - Monday Friday, 9 am 5 pm
Base location - Gorbals Health & Care Centre
Key responsibilities:
- Support the disability nursing team in delivering high-quality care and support.

Work in partnership with children, young people, families, care providers, and other agencies.

Participate in health improvement activities as delegated by the Community Paediatric Nurse.

Plan and deliver programmes of care and learning in partnership with children, young people, and their families, as directed by Senior Charge Paediatric (SCP) Nursing Staff and/or the Team Leader.

Collaborate with allied health professionals, community partners, health improvement staff, and other agencies.

Support the health and wellbeing needs of children and young people with additional needs.
Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:
- Educated to SCQF Level 7 / SVQ Level 3, HNC in Child Care, NNEB, or equivalent qualification.

Knowledge of child development.

Experience of working with children.

A full driving licence is essential.
