We are a family owned brewing business that's been successfully operating for nearly 200 years in Masham. We supply to customers across Yorkshire & the North of England, across the UK and to around 20 export markets.
We have a small production team in our historic brewery in the centre of Masham.
Job description
The ideal candidate will be working in all aspects of cask racking and packaging. The work is varied and can be physical. Due to manual nature of some of the work, applicants require a decent level of physical fitness. While previous experience in the brewing industry would be an advantage, it is not a requirement and all necessary training would be given to the right candidate. A permanent contract would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a 6 month probation period.
Responsibilities
- Working in all elements of the brewery cask racking and packaging process as required, including:
- Working with a shovel to clear large vessels of spent hops
- Opening/Cleaning/Filling casks
- Kegging
- Driving fork lift trucks
- A varied range of other brewery tasks
- Completion of documentation including basic calculations
Qualifications
- Working as part of a small team it is important to have a positive attitude and to be a team player
- Reasonable levels of literacy and numeracy are required
