We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to join our established team, overseeing projects, responsive and planned maintenance works on English Heritage sites across Cornwall and Devon. This is a hands-on, client-facing role where communication, organisation, and pride in workmanship are just as important as technical knowledge.
Working closely with English Heritage representatives, design teams, subcontractors, and our own skilled craftspeople, you will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the exceptionally high standards for which Moulding is known.
The role
As the English Heritage Cornwall & Devon (English Heritage Lot 17) Site Manager within our team, you will oversee multiple projects and support maintenance works from initial site setup through to successful completion. Working closely with our English Heritage Lot 17 Contracts Managers and experienced trades teams, you will coordinate day-to-day site operations, monitor health and safety compliance, maintain project programmes, uphold quality standards, and ensure we deliver a professional and positive experience throughout every stage of the project.
The role is hands-on when required, and you will occasionally assist with trade tasks to support the wider team and project delivery.

- Carry out regular inspections to ensure work meets technical specifications, building regulations, and the high standards expected by Moulding
- Support and encourage excellent craftsmanship across all trades on site
Commercial Awareness:
- Manage labour, plant, tools, and materials efficiently to maximise value and minimise unnecessary costs
- Ensure projects are delivered professionally, safely, and cost-effectively

- Maintain clear and professional communication with Contracts Managers, clients, consultants, design teams, and members of the public
- Provide regular progress updates, identify risks, and help resolve onsite challenges proactively
