Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Night Porter to join our hospitality team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and smooth operation of the premises during overnight hours. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with hospitality experience or a passion for guest services to contribute to a welcoming and secure environment. Multilingual or bilingual skills are highly desirable to assist a diverse range of guests. The Night Porter will play a vital role in maintaining high standards of customer care and operational efficiency during the night shift.
Duties
- Conduct regular security checks throughout the property to ensure safety and security of guests and staff
- Welcome and assist guests arriving during night hours, providing excellent guest services and addressing their needs promptly
- Handle guest enquiries via phone or in person with professional phone etiquette
- Monitor CCTV systems and alarm systems to detect any irregularities or security breaches
- Assist with administrative tasks such as logging incidents, maintaining records, and preparing reports
- Coordinate with cleaning staff for any overnight maintenance or cleaning requirements
- Ensure all public areas are tidy, well-maintained, and welcoming for guests arriving or departing during the night shift
- Respond swiftly to emergencies or incidents, following established protocols
- Set up for upcoming events
Requirements
- Previous experience in hotel, hospitality, or guest services roles is preferred but not essential
- Multilingual or bilingual abilities are highly advantageous for communicating with diverse guests
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently during night hours with minimal supervision
- Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required
- Professional demeanour with a friendly yet discreet approach to guest interactions
- Knowledge of security procedures and basic first aid is desirable but not mandatory

Pay: £12.71 per hour
