Qualitops UK Ltd is looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to join our manufacturing operation. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated production professional with supervisory experience who is looking to take ownership of a busy production area within a fast-paced environment.
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading the production teams, ensuring quality and health & safety standards are maintained whilst achieving production targets. This is a hands-on leadership role where you will play a key part in ensuring the safe, efficient and compliant operation of the production facility while supporting and developing your team.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant operations
- Ensure machinery is prepared and operational at the start of each day
- Managing day-to-day people related matters including performance, attendance and training
- Maintain product quality, food safety and compliance standards throughout production
- Conduct quality checks and weekly GMP inspections and escalate issues where required
- Coordinate production plans and ensure orders are processed effectively
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions when necessary
- Ensure the factory remains audit-ready at all times
- Ensure accurate production records, traceability and reporting documentation
- Work closely with Production Manger to support engineering contractors to minimise downtime and resolve machinery issues
- Promote a positive health & safety and food safety culture across the site
Qualifications and personal Qualities required
- Food Technology Qualification or Intermediate/advanced Food Hygiene/HACCP certification or minimum 3 years experience in a production supervisory role supplying packaged foods to BRC standards.
- Strong Communication and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
- Manual Handling & COSHH qualifications
- Experience of delivering hygiene training to small groups and individuals
- Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Objective and systematic approach to problem solving.
