About Minis Childcare
Minis Childcare is an Ofsted Good rated nursery group based in Greenwich operating across two sites in SE10 and SE8. We are a growing, ambitious nursery group committed to delivering outstanding early years care and education.
As we expand our operations, including the development of our agency staffing service, we are looking for an exceptional individual to join our team and play a key role in keeping our business running smoothly.
The Role
This is a varied, hands-on role sitting at the heart of our operations. You will be the organisational backbone of Millennium Minis and Maritime Minis, dealing with enrolment, parent communications, funding administration, onboarding team and premises coordination across our sites.
You will work closely with our Operations Director, taking ownership of the day-to-day administrative functions that keep our nurseries running, freeing up senior leadership to focus on the strategic growth of the business.
This is an ideal role for someone with nursery or early year’s experience who thrives on variety and genuinely loves working in a childcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Processing all parent registration forms accurately and in a timely manner
- Following up with prospective parents who have registered interest and nurturing enquiries and tours through to enrolment
- Proactively offering available spaces
- Chasing government funded hours forms (15 and 30 hour entitlements)
- Producing the monthly Team newsletter
- Coordinating premises management tasks and liaising with contractors as required
- Supporting the onboarding of new staff members including documentation and induction coordination
- Providing general administrative support to ensure smooth day-day nursery operations
- Providing front-of house support, including managing telephone enquiries and welcoming visitors to the nursery
- Yearly Archiving
- Supporting the Operations Director with the development and growth of our nursery and agency staffing service
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience in a nursery, school or early years setting
- Understanding of government childcare funding (15 and 30 hour entitlements)
- Excellent organisational skills
- Confident, warm and professional communication, both written and verbal
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in administrative work
- Comfortable working with technology and picking up new software quickly
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work with initiative
Desirable
- Experience with nursery management software (e.g. Famly/Connect)
- Experience in HR administration or staff onboarding
- Basic design skills for newsletters (e.g. Canva)
