Job Summary
We are looking for compassionate and reliable Bank Support Workers to join the team within a welcoming elderly residential care home.
As a Bank Support Worker, you'll provide additional support when required, covering staffing gaps, sickness, holidays and busy periods. This is a great opportunity if you're looking for flexible work that can fit around your other commitments.
You'll support residents with their daily needs while promoting independence, dignity, choice and wellbeing.
Your Role
- Support residents with daily living, including personal care, dressing, mobility and mealtimes
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Encourage residents to maintain their independence and make their own choices
- Assist with activities and social opportunities within the home
- Follow individual care plans and provide person-centred support
- Observe and report changes in residents' health, wellbeing or behaviour
- Maintain accurate care records
- Work alongside permanent staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
- Follow safeguarding, infection control and health & safety procedures
- Help maintain a safe, comfortable and homely environment
- Treat every resident with dignity, kindness and respect
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in elderly care, residential care, healthcare or support work is desirable
- A caring, patient and compassionate approach
- Good communication skills
- Reliable and able to work well as part of a team
- Comfortable providing personal care
- A genuine passion for supporting older people
- Flexibility to cover shifts when required
- A professional and positive attitude
Pay: £12.71 per hour
