An opportunity has arisen for a Boatyard Supervisor to join the team at Portishead Marina near Bristol.
This is a full-time hands-on operational role working within the marina boatyard, undertaking vessel lifting, launching, towing and general boatyard activity. The successful candidate will lead a practical, safety-focused team and will ensure the boatyard operates safely and efficiently, maximising bookings according to available space and time within the lifting schedule and meeting financial targets as well as ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Key Requirements
To be considered for this role, candidates should be able to demonstrate:
· A strong awareness of health and safety and safe working practices.
· A positive mindset, ‘can do’ and flexible approach.
· Confidence using computers and with training, ability to use the company software systems
· A full UK driving licence is essential.
· Experience of boat handling, lifting operations or operating boatyard plant is highly desirable. Relevant plant or lifting equipment certification would be advantageous, although training will be provided where appropriate.
· RYA Powerboat Level 2 or equivalent qualification is desirable but not essential.
Working Pattern
· Full time, 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
· Flexibility required to support operational needs, including weekend and Bank Holiday working.
