Student and Campus Experience (SCE) at Queen’s University Belfast provides accommodation for over 4,000 students across several sites (for example Elms Village – Malone Road BT9, Elms BT1 – College Avenue and Elms BT2 – McClintock Street). We are currently recruiting for Housekeeping Assistants to join our team of over 30 colleagues based in the University area.
You will work as part of a flexible hard working team, where you will clean an allocated area of responsibility, such as student bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens and communal areas to a set standard. When you join Queen’s you will be provided with full training on appropriate cleaning techniques, equipment and expected cleaning standards.
We are always open to new ways of working so talk to us about the flexibility you need to enable you to do this job. For example, starting at 9:30am to facilitate school drop-off.

Therefore we are looking to recruit a committed and motivated person who will support and deliver not only a world class experience to all customers, but strive to providing a welcoming, efficient, knowledgeable and friendly service.
The successful candidate must have, and your application should clearly demonstrate that you meet the following criteria;
- Cleaning experience, preferably, but not limited to, a commercial residential workplace such as a hotel or student accommodation.
- Awareness of general Health & Safety requirements.
- Ability to work as part of a team and understand and comply with instructions given in English.
- Experience of using chemicals & cleaning equipment in the workplace.

These posts are available on a part time basis with a minimum of 16 hours per week to a maximum of 37 hours per week.
