The Role
We are seeking a reliable, proactive, and hardworking Sports Centre Cleaner to help maintain the cleanliness, presentation, and safe operation of Northstowe Sports Centre.
This position is available on either a part-time basis (10 hours per week) or as a flexible casual/zero-hours contract. Shifts are expected to include early mornings, evenings, and weekends, depending on facility usage and operational requirements.
As a key member of our team, you will play an important role in ensuring the sports centre remains clean, safe, and welcoming for members, visitors, hirers, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out routine cleaning duties across all areas of the facility, including the gym, studios, sports hall, changing rooms, toilets, and communal spaces.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and presentation throughout the sports centre.
- Safely operate cleaning equipment and use cleaning products in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Complete scheduled cleaning tasks and maintain accurate records where required.
- Monitor stock levels and replenish cleaning supplies and consumables as necessary.
- Promptly report maintenance issues, damage, or health and safety concerns to the appropriate manager.
- Assist with the setup and clearance of spaces before and after activities, events, and community bookings when required.
- Deliver a professional and courteous service when interacting with customers and facility users.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to support the smooth day-to-day operation of the facility.
- Uphold and promote the organisation’s values of professionalism, community engagement, and excellent customer service at all times.

Desirable
- Previous cleaning experience within a leisure, sports, education, or commercial environment.
- Knowledge of COSHH regulations and basic health and safety procedures.
