Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Rectangular Duct Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating high-quality rectangular ductwork utilised in HVAC systems. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of sheet metal work. Duties
- Measure, cut, and assemble sheet metal components to specified dimensions using hand tools and tooling.
- Fabricate rectangular duct sections through welding, grinding, and other metalworking techniques.
- Operate grinding machines and welding equipment safely and efficiently to ensure high-quality output.
- Perform basic calculations to determine measurements and material requirements for each project.
- Assemble duct sections accurately according to technical drawings and specifications.
- Inspect finished products for quality control, ensuring all components meet safety and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience in fabrication, welding, grinding, or similar metalworking roles.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with familiarity in working with sheet metal and ductwork components.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and tooling used in sheet metal fabrication.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and perform basic math calculations accurately.
- Good organisational skills with attention to detail to ensure precise assembly of duct sections.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Prior experience with assembly processes related to HVAC or duct manufacturing is desirable but not essential.
