Kingston Recruitment are currently recruiting for an organised and detail-focused Electrical Compliance Administrator to join our client’s team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to develop their skills within the electrical contracting sector.
The successful candidate will provide essential administrative support across compliance, documentation, scheduling, procurement, training records, and operational activities. Electrical industry experience would be advantageous, but it is not essential as full training will be provided. We are looking for someone with strong administration skills, excellent organisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Compliance & Documentation
- Processing, filing, and maintaining Electrical Installation Test Certification.
- Updating and monitoring documentation in line with NIC-EIC requirements.
- Maintaining NIC-EIC complaints records and compliance documentation.
- Monitoring test equipment records, calibration dates, and accuracy documentation.
- Maintaining records of electrical equipment status and arranging calibration when required.
- Supporting updates to Health & Safety documentation alongside the SHEQ team.
- Assisting with engineer supervisor interviews, recording outcomes, and preparing follow-up actions.
- Monitoring company insurance renewal dates and requesting updated documentation.
- Updating Work in Progress records in line with compliance requirements.
Scheduling & Operational Support
- Assisting the Team Leader with allocating planned and reactive maintenance works.
- Supporting labour planning and liaising with contractors to arrange additional resource when required.
- Coordinating electrical site works with internal teams and subcontractors.
- Requesting and forwarding RAMS and method statements to relevant departments.
Procurement & Materials
- Supporting the Electrical Team Leader with ordering materials and parts.
- Obtaining alternative quotations to support competitive purchasing.
- Monitoring back orders and escalating delays where required.
- Checking deliveries against purchase orders and collating delivery notes.
- Supporting the Accounts team with documentation for invoicing processes.
Training & Workforce Administration
- Maintaining training records and supporting electrician CPD compliance.
- Monitoring qualifications and arranging relevant training courses.
- Managing JIB/ECS card updates, including booking assessments and renewals.
- Ensuring electrical test certificates are completed and stored correctly.
Skills & Experience Required:
- Previous administration experience within a busy office or operational environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail and accurate record keeping.
- Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work with different teams.
- Experience within the electrical contracting industry would be beneficial but is not essential.
