Class 1 HGV Driver – Ad Hoc Shifts | PAYE Only
We are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers for ad hoc shifts operating general haulage curtain-sided vehicles.
This is a great opportunity for reliable and flexible drivers looking for additional work, with shifts available across weekdays and weekends.
Shift Times
Days: Start times between 04:00 and 09:00
Nights: Start times between 16:00 and 20:00
Shift times and days can vary depending on operational requirements, so flexibility is essential.
Payrates:
Mon to Fri days- £18.29 (PAYE), £20.49 (rolled up holiday)
Mon to Fri nights- £18.87 (PAYE), £21.14 (rolled up holiday)
Saturday - £27.43 (PAYE), £30.74 (rolled up holiday)
Sunday - £36.57 (PAYE), £40.98 (rolled up holiday)
The Role
- Class 1 general haulage work
- Paid assessment
- Curtain-sided trailers
- Ad hoc shifts based on business requirements
- Day and night work available
- Monday to Sunday availability
- Potential for regular shifts for reliable drivers
- PAYE employment only
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
- Valid Driver CPC
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous Class 1 driving experience
- Experience with general haulage/curtain-sided trailers preferred
- Good knowledge of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations
- Reliable and professional attitude
- Must be flexible to work any day of the week, including weekends, when required
