Overview
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong creative skills, with a flair for new menu design as well as a commitment to delivering exceptional food quality and service. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining high standards of food safety, presentation, and customer satisfaction. Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is highly desirable, along with a proactive approach to team management and food preparation.
Duties
- Oversee daily food production, ensuring consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Manage all aspects of food safety compliance in accordance with industry standards and regulations
- Develop innovative menus in collaboration with management, incorporating seasonal ingredients and current trends
- Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to enhance their skills and professional development
- Coordinate with front-of-house teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen environment at all times
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies as needed, and minimise waste
- Ensure all dishes are prepared in accordance with health and safety guidelines and company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a culinary role within a restaurant or hospitality environment
- Strong background in food production, preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to work with a diverse team effectively
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards and regulations
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask under pressure
- Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
- A passion for culinary arts and continuous learning in the hospitality industry
This position provides an excellent platform for a skilled chef to have a good level of input within a fast paced, independent restaurant.
Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
